In a significant administrative move, the Chhattisgarh government has transferred 20 IPS officers, including several Superintendents of Police (SPs) and Inspectors General (IGs), in a wide-ranging reshuffle aimed at strengthening law enforcement leadership across the state. The official transfer order, issued by the General Administration Department on Friday evening, affects nine districts and two police ranges.

As part of this comprehensive reshuffle, the Home Department has reassigned the Inspectors General of the Surguja and Rajnandgaon police ranges, signifying a strategic realignment in regional policing.

Key Transfers:

• Pawan Dev (IPS-1995): Appointed Additional Chairman and Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Police Housing Corporation, Raipur.
• Ankit Kumar Garg (IPS-2004): Transferred from IG, Surguja Range to IG, SIB, Police Headquarters, Nava Raipur.
• Dhruv Gupta (IPS-2005): Appointed IG, CID, Nava Raipur, with additional charge of CCTNS/SCRB and Technical Services. He will assume charge after April 30, 2025.
  
• Deepak Kumar Jha (IPS-2007): Posted as IG, Surguja Range.
• Abhishek Shandilya (IPS-2007): Appointed IG, Rajnandgaon Range.
• Balaji Rao Somawar (IPS-2007): Assigned IG, Law & Order, Special Branch, Police Headquarters, Nava Raipur.
• Ajatashatru Bahadur Singh (IPS-2011): Posted as DIG, Intelligence, Special Branch.
• Vivek Shukla (IPS-2012): Appointed AIG, CID, Police Headquarters.
