Hisar-Ayodhya Flight

Marking a major step towards enhancing Ayodhya’s air connectivity, the new Hisar-Ayodhya flight route was officially launched on Monday, further advancing the double-engine government’s commitment to infrastructure-led growth and religious tourism.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the maiden flight from Hisar, celebrating yet another milestone in Ayodhya’s transformation into a world-class spiritual destination. The ATR-72 aircraft landed at the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport at 12:35 PM with 61 passengers onboard and was received with a grand water cannon salute.

Passengers were welcomed with traditional fervour—roses, tilak, cake-cutting, and chants of “Jai Shri Ram”—making it a memorable moment for all. The return leg of the flight departed Ayodhya for Hisar with 42 passengers, a promising start that indicates strong early demand.

The new flight service will operate twice a week—Fridays and Sundays—with a travel time of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. With a seating capacity of 72, the Hisar-Ayodhya flight is expected to bridge regional gaps and further ease travel for pilgrims and tourists.

Since the consecration of the Ram Mandir, Ayodhya has seen a massive surge in visitors from India and abroad. Enhanced air connectivity is not only fulfilling the dreams of pilgrims but also driving local economic activity—hotels, transport services, and allied sectors are witnessing growth due to rising footfall.

This development is part of a broader push under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to modernise Ayodhya’s infrastructure. From new highways and railway upgrades to expanded flight routes, the city is fast emerging as a globally recognised religious and cultural epicentre.

Passengers expressed their joy and gratitude. “We never imagined flying directly from Hisar to Ayodhya,” said Kunal. Renu Gill shared, “We’re overjoyed this flight has started—thank you, Modi ji.” Aditi Goyal, speaking in Haryanvi, added, “A Prime Minister should be like Narendra Modi. I’ve seen the difference firsthand.”

With initiatives like the Hisar-Ayodhya flight, the double-engine government is turning vision into reality, connecting hearts and cities alike.
