Waaree Energies Unveils 5.4 GW Solar Cell Manufacturing Facility in Gujarat

Waaree Energies Limited has inaugurated a state-of-the-art 5.4 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Chikhli, Gujarat. Spanning 150 acres with a built-up area of 101 acres, the facility is equipped with advanced, high-efficiency solar cell technology, reinforcing India’s push for self-reliance in renewable energy manufacturing.

The new plant is set to generate over 9,500 direct jobs and approximately 30,000 indirect employment opportunities, significantly boosting the local economy. It will play a key role in strengthening India’s domestic solar manufacturing capabilities while reducing dependence on imports.
