New Delhi, February 11, 2025 – India and Israel are set to reinforce their economic and trade relations through the India-Israel Business Forum and the India-Israel CEO Forum. These significant events, scheduled to take place in New Delhi, will bring together leading business figures, policymakers, and industry stakeholders from both nations. The forums aim to explore new opportunities for economic collaboration, technological advancements, and investment prospects.
Organised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, in partnership with the Embassy of Israel and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the India-Israel Business Forum will serve as a crucial platform for deepening trade relations and fostering cross-sectoral collaborations. The forum is expected to facilitate discussions on investment opportunities between Indian and Israeli enterprises across multiple industries.
A distinguished Israeli business delegation, led by H.E. Nir M. Barkat, Minister of Economy and Industry of Israel, will be a key participant. The delegation comprises leading Israeli enterprises and representatives from diverse sectors, including technology, manufacturing, healthcare, agri-tech, food processing, defence, homeland security, water management, logistics, and retail.

The event will commence with a ceremonial inaugural session, followed by panel discussions and business-to-business (B2B) meetings. These sessions will allow industry leaders from both countries to explore potential joint ventures, investment avenues, and knowledge exchange initiatives. Senior representatives from the Governments of India and Israel, along with key business organisations, will contribute to discussions centred on sectoral growth and innovation-driven partnerships.

India and Israel share a strong commitment to technological advancements and innovation, making them natural economic partners. With India emerging as a global hub for manufacturing and technology, the forum will provide a strategic platform to enhance business-to-business (B2B) and government-to-business (G2B) engagements.

Parallel to the Business Forum, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) will host the India-Israel CEO Forum. This exclusive gathering will feature top CEOs, senior executives, and policymakers from both nations, focusing on investment strategies, policy frameworks, and emerging business trends. Key discussions will revolve around technology collaboration, research and development, and trade diversification.
The engagement between India and Israel will emphasise cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and smart manufacturing. Defence and security partnerships are expected to expand, particularly in defence technology, cybersecurity, and homeland security solutions. Additionally, clean energy and sustainability initiatives will be promoted, with joint projects in renewable energy, water conservation, and green technologies.
In the healthcare and life sciences sectors, collaborative efforts will focus on medical research, pharmaceutical trade, and biotech investments. Furthermore, agriculture and food security will benefit from Israel’s expertise in precision agriculture, drip irrigation, and sustainable farming solutions.
Bilateral trade between India and Israel has witnessed substantial growth, diversifying beyond traditional sectors such as diamonds and precious metals to include engineering goods, chemicals, electronics, defence, and agricultural products. Israeli investments in India continue to expand across renewable energy, water technology, defence, and manufacturing, while Indian companies are making significant inroads into Israel’s pharmaceutical, IT, and infrastructure sectors.
These forums align with the long-term vision of both nations for economic growth and cooperation. By fostering deeper industry engagement, encouraging foreign direct investment (FDI), and promoting technology transfer and innovation partnerships, they are expected to significantly contribute to strengthening economic ties.
