
The Maharashtra government on Tuesday announced a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy, transferring 12 officers and appointing new leaders to key roles. Among the significant changes, IAS officer P. Anbalgan has been named Industries Secretary, while Harshdeep Kamble has been appointed General Manager of Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST).
Anil Diggikar, a 1990-batch IAS officer and outgoing GM of BEST, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary of the Divyang Kalyan Department at Mantralaya in Mumbai. Kamble, a 1997-batch IAS officer and former Principal Secretary (Industries, Energy, and Labour Department), will succeed Diggikar as GM of BEST. P. Anbalgan, a 2001-batch IAS officer and former Chairman and Managing Director of MAHAGENCO, will take over Kamble’s previous role as Industries Secretary.
Radhakrishnan B, a 2008-batch IAS officer and Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director of MAHAGENCO, the state’s power generation company.

Sanjay Daine, the Gadchiroli District Collector, has been appointed Commissioner of Textiles in Nagpur, while Wardha Collector Rahul Kardile has been named Commissioner of the Nashik Municipal Corporation. Vanmathi C, currently Joint Commissioner (State Tax), will replace Kardile as the Wardha Collector.

Sanjay Pawar, CEO of Chandrapur Zilla Parishad, will succeed Vanmathi in her current role. Avishyant Panda, the Commissioner of Textiles in Nagpur, will take over as the Gadchiroli District Collector. Vivek Johnson, a 2018-batch IAS officer, will replace Pawar in Chandrapur.
Other key appointments include Annasaheb Dadu Chavan, now CEO of the Mahatma Phule Jivandai Arogya Yojna Society in Mumbai, and Gopichand Murlidhar Kadam, who has been named CEO of Smart City, Solapur.
