Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that the upcoming Gwalior Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) has received investment proposals worth ₹1,550 crore during an investor roundtable held in Mumbai. The proposals mark another milestone in the state’s efforts to position itself as a leading destination for telecom and electronics manufacturing.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said the strong investor response reflects growing confidence in Madhya Pradesh’s industry-friendly policies, transparent governance, and rapidly expanding industrial ecosystem.
Gwalior Telecom Zone Draws Strong Investor Interest
The investor roundtable brought together leading industrialists and business leaders to discuss opportunities in the Telecom Manufacturing Zone being developed in Gwalior.

Dr. Yadav said the project, being established with the support of the Central Government, is expected to strengthen India’s telecom manufacturing capabilities while attracting domestic and global investments.
He noted that the state has witnessed significant industrial growth over the past two-and-a-half years, driven by reforms aimed at improving the ease of doing business and creating a supportive environment for investors.
State Highlights Its Industrial Strengths
The Chief Minister highlighted several factors that make Madhya Pradesh an attractive investment destination.
He said the state offers competitive electricity tariffs, a skilled workforce, stable law and order, and streamlined approval processes for industries. The government also provides wage support for employment-generating industries for periods ranging from five to ten years, encouraging companies to establish manufacturing units in the state.
According to him, these initiatives have strengthened investor confidence and accelerated industrial development across multiple sectors.
Previous Investor Meet Brought Major Commitments
Referring to the earlier investor roundtable held in Delhi, Dr. Yadav said the state had secured investment commitments worth around ₹3,500 crore, which are expected to generate nearly 12,000 employment opportunities.
He added that the government has been conducting investor outreach programmes in major cities to attract industries in sectors such as manufacturing, electronics, defence, textiles, and telecommunications.
Gwalior to Emerge as Telecom Manufacturing Hub
The Chief Minister described the Gwalior Telecom Manufacturing Zone as a landmark initiative that will provide world-class infrastructure for telecom equipment manufacturing.
He said the zone will offer modern industrial facilities, efficient logistics support, and an integrated manufacturing ecosystem, helping companies strengthen production while creating new employment opportunities.
Its strategic location near the Delhi-NCR region is expected to further enhance connectivity and attract investments in advanced technology and electronics manufacturing.
Focus on Long-Term Industrial Growth
Dr. Yadav also highlighted the progress of other flagship industrial projects in the state, including the Electrical Equipment Park at Babai-Mohasa and the PM MITRA Mega Textile Park in Dhar, both of which have witnessed encouraging investor participation.
