BEML Wins GeM Award for Maximum Orders to MSEs

State-owned defence and engineering company BEML Limited has received the “Maximum Order Value to MSEs” award for its procurement from Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).

The award was presented during the 10th Foundation Day celebrations of GeM held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Piyush Goyal Presents Award to BEML

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal presented the award to BEML in recognition of the company’s procurement from MSEs through the GeM platform.


Anil Jerath, Director (Finance), BEML, received the award on behalf of the company.

Recognition for Supporting MSE Participation

The recognition highlights BEML’s efforts to increase procurement from Micro and Small Enterprises through the government’s digital procurement platform.

By sourcing from MSEs through GeM, the company is helping create greater opportunities for smaller businesses to participate in government procurement.

The Government e-Marketplace has become an important platform for public sector organisations and government departments to procure goods and services through a digital and transparent system.
