Amol Babulal Taori, currently serving as Executive Director (International Trade) at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), has been appointed as Director (Finance) of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID).
The appointment was communicated through an order issued by the Ministry of Power on August 12, 2026. Taori will hold the position for a period of five years from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Senior HPCL Executive Moves to POWERGRID
Taori is currently working as Executive Director (International Trade) at HPCL, where his responsibilities have given him experience in international trade and business operations.

His move to POWERGRID marks a transition from the oil and petroleum sector to a senior financial leadership role in India’s power transmission sector.
Key Finance Role at POWERGRID
As Director (Finance), Taori will be responsible for overseeing an important area of POWERGRID’s corporate and financial operations.
The position will involve supporting the company’s financial management as it continues to undertake investments and expand its power transmission infrastructure.

Appointment Approved by Ministry of Power
The appointment has been made by the Ministry of Power, with Taori’s tenure set at five years from the date he assumes charge.
