The Himachal Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 17 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and 22 Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers across key departments and district administrations. The latest reshuffle includes changes at the level of Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Directors, Municipal Commissioners and Managing Directors of state public sector undertakings.

Among the prominent changes, R.D. Nazeem has been entrusted with the important portfolios of Home, Vigilance and Power, while several senior officers have been assigned additional responsibilities to strengthen governance across departments.
Senior IAS Officers Get New Responsibilities
- Onkar Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary (Tribal Development), has been given the additional charge of the Transport Department.
- R.D. Nazeem, who was handling Food, Civil Supplies, Transport and Industries, has now been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Vigilance and Power.
- Devesh Kumar, Principal Secretary (Urban Development), will now oversee the Finance, Planning and Statistics Department and will also hold the additional charge of Animal Husbandry.
- M.S. Sudha Devi, Principal Secretary (Health and Personnel), has been assigned the Forest and Industries Departments.
- Priya Basu Ingty, Secretary (Labour and Employment), has been transferred as Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
- Ashish Singmar, Secretary (Digital Technology and Governance), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Health and Family Welfare.
Changes in Secretaries and Directors

- Yunus, Director of Industries, has been appointed Secretary, State Taxes and Excise.
- Sandeep Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Kangra, has been posted as Secretary, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
- Amarjeet Singh, Secretary (Town and Country Planning and Housing), has been given the additional charge of Urban Development.
- Vivek Bhatia, Principal Private Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been assigned the additional charge of Director, Industries.
- Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, Director, Energy, has been posted as Director, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
- Dr. Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Special Secretary (Health), has been appointed Commissioner, State Taxes and Excise.
- Vivek Chandel, Director-cum-Warden (Fisheries), has been transferred as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Baddi.
- Madhu Chaudhary, Registrar, Palampur Agriculture University, has been posted as Special Secretary, Health and Family Welfare.
- Om Kant Thakur, Managing Director, HP Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation, has been appointed Director-cum-Warden, Fisheries.
- Abhishek Kumar Garga, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Hamirpur, has been posted as Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation Limited.
- Gursimar Singh, Managing Director, General Industries Corporation (GIC) Limited, has been appointed Director, Technical Education.
22 HAS Officers Also Reshuffled
The government has also transferred 22 Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers.

Among the major appointments:
- Sachin Kanwal, Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed Commissioner, Shimla Municipal Corporation.
- Bhupender Kumar, who was serving as Commissioner, Shimla Municipal Corporation, has been posted as Managing Director, General Industries Corporation (GIC) Limited.
- Gian Sagar Negi, Registrar, Himachal Pradesh University, has been appointed Additional District Magistrate (Protocol), Shimla.
- Jyoti Rana, who was serving as ADM (Protocol), Shimla, has been transferred as Registrar, Himachal Pradesh University.
- Ekta Kapta, Additional Director (Medical Education), has been posted as Additional District Magistrate, Sirmaur.
- Liaq Ram Sharma, ADM, Sirmaur, has been appointed Managing Director, HIMFED, Shimla.
In addition, 16 other HAS officers, primarily serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), have also been transferred and assigned new postings across the state.
