New Delhi: Senior IAS officer Dr Sajjan Singh Yadav (AGMUT:1995) has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Delhi Jal Board (DJB). In addition to his new responsibilities, he has also been entrusted with the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary (Industries), Government of Delhi, and Chairperson of the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC).
With this appointment, Dr Yadav succeeds D Vaidya (AGMUT:1998), who has been relieved of the additional charge of Principal Secretary (Industries) and Chairperson, DSIIDC.
The appointment comes shortly after Dr Yadav’s return to the AGMUT cadre from the Centre. On March 31, 2026, he was elevated as Special Secretary in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, following his empanelment for holding the rank of Secretary or equivalent in the Government of India, a significant milestone in the career of a senior IAS officer.
Known for his extensive administrative experience across urban governance, public service delivery, infrastructure, and financial management, Dr Yadav is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening Delhi’s water management systems through the Delhi Jal Board. His additional responsibilities in the Industries Department and DSIIDC also place him at the centre of the Capital’s industrial development, investment promotion, and infrastructure expansion initiatives.
The latest appointment signals the Delhi government’s intent to leverage Dr Yadav’s experience in steering key sectors related to urban infrastructure, public utilities, and industrial growth.
