The Karnataka government has announced several major infrastructure initiatives for Bengaluru in the state budget, aiming to improve connectivity, urban services, and the overall quality of life in the rapidly growing city.
Presenting the budget, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah highlighted the need to strengthen Bengaluru’s infrastructure to support its expanding population and its role as India’s leading technology hub.
₹1,225 Crore for Urban Infrastructure

In addition, plans for a second airport in Bengaluru are being explored to handle the city’s increasing air traffic in the coming years.
