The Government of Assam has appointed Shri Gaurav Upadhyay, IPS (RR-2012) as the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Transport Department.
According to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel (Personnel-A), Assam Secretariat, Dispur, the appointment has been made in the interest of public service. Prior to this appointment, Gaurav Upadhyay was serving as Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam, Transport Department.
With this order, he has now been entrusted with the responsibility of heading the department as Secretary, a key administrative position responsible for overseeing policy implementation, governance, and coordination related to transport services in the state.
As Secretary to the Government of Assam, Transport Department, Gaurav Upadhyay will play an important role in guiding the department’s administrative functions and strengthening transport-related governance in the state.
