RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has entered into a strategic collaboration with Tata Communications Limited to enhance India’s digital backbone and support the country’s transition toward an AI-driven economy.
RailTel, a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking, operates one of India’s largest neutral telecom networks, spanning more than 63,000 route kilometres of optical fibre. Its network connects cities, towns, and rural areas, along with over 6,000 railway stations, serving ministries, state governments, PSUs, banks, and educational institutions.
Building AI-Ready Infrastructure
Under the collaboration, RailTel’s extensive national connectivity will integrate with Tata Communications’ global digital infrastructure, including advanced network services, cloud platforms, omnichannel communication solutions, and cybersecurity capabilities.
