Uttar Pradesh is emerging as India’s foremost State in AI-powered public healthcare transformation with the Uttar Pradesh AI & Health Innovation Conference 2026, being held on 12–13 January 2026 at Hotel Centrum, Lucknow. Anchored on the theme “Transformational Triveni of Technology, Treatment and Trust,” the conference brings together national policymakers, global health leaders, technology pioneers, healthcare institutions, startups and academia to collaboratively design the next phase of India’s digital health ecosystem.
The landmark conference is organised by the Government of Uttar Pradesh through the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Uttar Pradesh and the Department of IT & Electronics, Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with event partner Elets Technomedia. The conference serves as a strategic regional platform under the India–AI Impact Summit 2026, reflecting Uttar Pradesh’s growing leadership in responsible, scalable and citizen-centric adoption of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare.
The conference was inaugurated by Yogi Adityanath, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, as the Chief Guest, reaffirming the State Government’s vision of strengthening healthcare access, quality, efficiency and trust through AI-enabled systems. The inaugural session witnessed the presence of senior leadership from the Centre and the State, including Brajesh Pathak, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister & Health Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Jitin Prasada, Union Minister of State, Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Electronics & IT, Government of India; Sunil Kumar Sharma, Hon’ble Minister, IT & Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh, Hon’ble Minister, Medical Health & Family Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh; and Ajit Singh Pal, Minister of State, IT & Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Senior administrative and national policy leadership present at the inaugural included Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Vinod Kumar Paul, Member, NITI Aayog; Abhishek Singh, Director General, National Informatics Centre & Additional Secretary, MeitY; and Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Chief Executive Officer, National Health Authority.
The conference features global and national thought leaders shaping the future of digital public health, including Manoj Jhalani, Director, Health Systems Development, World Health Organization; J. Satyanarayan, Former Chairman, UIDAI; and Karthik Adapa, Regional Adviser – Digital Health, WHO-SEARO. The deliberations are further enriched by senior leadership from the World Bank, Gates Foundation, Google APAC, Digital India Corporation, Amazon Web Services, Indian Institute of Science, SGPGIMS, Apollo TeleHealth, NIRAMAI, Philips and leading State Governments.
The conference is supported by key national institutions and ecosystem partners. Over two days, the conference is hosting high-impact deliberations on AI-led healthcare transformation and diagnostics, telemedicine and frontline workforce enablement, digital public infrastructure, AI governance and ABDM integration, state-level data hubs, emerging healthcare challenges, rural healthcare inclusion, startup innovation, hackathon showcases and the State AI Roadmap.
Key highlights of the conference include keynote addresses outlining Uttar Pradesh’s AI Health Roadmap, eight high-impact plenary sessions with national and global leaders, an AI & Health Tech Exhibition Zone showcasing next-generation solutions, a Hackathon Finale and Startup Pitch Session, the announcement of the State AI Mission of Uttar Pradesh, and high-value B2G, B2B and G2G networking and MoU opportunities.
