Tatapani (Chhattisgarh): On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched a major development push in Tatapani by inaugurating, laying foundation stones and flagging off 71 projects worth over ₹667 crore. The projects span key sectors such as roads, drinking water, education, healthcare and civic infrastructure, and are aimed at improving the quality of life across the region.

Addressing local residents, the Chief Minister said Makar Sankranti symbolises new beginnings and positive change, and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to inclusive and balanced development across all parts of Chhattisgarh.

Focus on Core Infrastructure and Public Services

The newly launched projects are designed to strengthen essential services:

• Road Connectivity: New roads and upgrades will improve connectivity between urban and rural areas, easing daily travel and boosting trade.

• Drinking Water: Multiple water supply schemes will enhance access to clean and safe drinking water.

• Education: Construction of school buildings, additional classrooms and improved facilities will create a better learning environment for students.

• Healthcare: Upgrades to primary and community health centres will improve access to medical care at the local level.
