The Government of India has issued a fresh set of personnel updates, including appointments, repatriations, empanelments and additional charges across ministries and departments.
- Deepak Agarwal (IAS: 2000: UP), Managing Director of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED), has been assigned additional charge of Managing Director, Small Farmers’ Agri Business Consortium (SFAC) with effect from 28 August 2025, on an ex-post facto basis.
- Ramesh Kumar Verma (ITradeS: 2013), Deputy Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.
- Vaibhav Chandrakant Ghalme (ICAS: 2011), Director in the Department of Health & Family Welfare, has also been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.
- Ujjwal Kumar (LAFEA Service, Rajya Sabha Secretariat: 2005) has had his tenure as Special Duty to the Minister of State for Defence curtailed. He has now been appointed Private Secretary to the same minister, with his tenure set to last until 9 October 2028.
- Shashi Bhushan (ICoAS: 1998) has been empanelled for central deputation, qualifying to hold posts at the Joint Secretary level at the Centre.

The updates reflect the Centre’s ongoing administrative restructuring aimed at ensuring optimal utilisation of officer expertise across key sectors, including agriculture, trade, health and defence.
