The Department of IT & BT, Government of Karnataka, has announced the launch of the Karnataka Deep Tech Decade on Monday, committing an initial ₹600 crore with plans to scale up to ₹1,000 crore through partnerships with leading venture capital firms.
The initiative marks a significant step toward accelerating next-generation technologies spanning Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, Advanced Manufacturing, Robotics, and Sustainability Tech and nurturing entrepreneurs driving India’s deep tech future.
Key allocations under the initiative include:
- ₹150 crore for the DeepTech Elevate Fund
- ₹80 crore for Beyond Bengaluru startups
- ₹75 crore through the KITVIN Fund
- Establishment of new incubators at IIT & IIIT Dharwad and Kalaburagi
- Creation of 11 business incubators across higher education institutions in the state

As part of this initiative, the state will host the Future Makers Conclave on November 20 during the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025, India’s largest platform for deep tech innovation. The conclave will bring together over 10,000 founders, investors, and ecosystem enablers, featuring both global startups showcasing in India and Indian innovators pitching to global markets.
With this strategic vision, Karnataka reaffirms its leadership in India’s innovation journey, not just supporting innovation but accelerating it.
