Key IAS Transfers in Karnataka and Punjab — Check the Full List

In a series of administrative reshuffles across Karnataka and Punjab, both state governments announced significant transfers and postings of senior IAS officers to enhance departmental efficiency and coordination.

  • Thrilok Chandra K.V. (IAS: 2007: KN) – Transferred from Commissioner, Department of School Education, Bengaluru, to Secretary, Tourism Department. His move is expected to bolster Karnataka’s tourism promotion and infrastructure initiatives.

  • Sivakumar K.B. (IAS: 2010: KN) – Assigned additional charge as Managing Director, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), while continuing as Commissioner, Health & Family Welfare Services. He will now oversee both Bengaluru’s public transport and healthcare systems.

  • Suralkar Vikas Kishor (IAS: 2012: KN) – Appointed Commissioner, Department of School Education, Bengaluru, while continuing as Special Commissioner (Health and Education), Greater Bengaluru Authority, ensuring policy continuity across education and health sectors.

  • Sandeep Hans (IAS: 2010: PB) – Appointed Special Secretary and Mission Director, Food Processing Department, after serving as Managing Director, Punjab INFOTECH, and Additional CEO, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion.

  • Jaspreet Singh (IAS: 2014: PB) – Takes charge as Managing Director, Punjab INFOTECH, and Additional CEO, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion, moving from his previous role as Special Secretary and Mission Director, Food Processing.
