In a renewed push to accelerate development projects and improve administrative oversight, the Madhya Pradesh government has deputed Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) and Principal Secretary-rank IAS officers as Divisional in-Charges for all 10 administrative divisions of the state.

Under the directive issued on Thursday, these senior officers will monitor priority government schemes, ensure on-ground execution, and strengthen coordination between departments. They are tasked with visiting districts under their jurisdiction at least once every two months, holding monthly video-conference reviews, and being present at all divisional meetings chaired by the Chief Minister.

This arrangement, initially introduced over a year ago, has now been updated with new appointments to enhance efficiency in project implementation. The divisional in-charges will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CM-level directives, resolving inter-departmental coordination issues, and reporting critical matters to the Chief Secretary.

  • Sanjay Kumar Shukla – Bhopal Division

  • Ashok Barnwal – Gwalior Division

  • Manu Shrivastava – Chambal Division
