The Uttarakhand government has promoted 12 IPS officers following a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting regarding the promotions. Deepam Seth, a 1995-batch officer, has been promoted as the Head of the Police Force (HOPF). Seth, who was appointed as the permanent DGP of the state in November, has now been promoted to the DGP rank with the highest pay scale (Apex Scale 17).
Following the retirement of Ashok Kumar, who was acting as the DGP, the Home Department called back Deepam Seth from deputation and made him the state’s DGP. With the approval of the DPC, he has now officially been appointed to the permanent DGP position.
Additionally, 1995 batch IPS officer PVK Prasad has also been promoted to the DGP rank. From DIG to IG, officers such as Janmejay Khanduri, Senthil Abudai Krishna Raj S, Dr. Sadanand Date, Sunil Meena, and Yogendra Singh Rawat have been promoted.
Pralhad Meena, Preeti Priyadarshini, and Yashwant Singh Chouhan have been placed in the selected pay scale, while Dhirendra Gujyal and Mukesh Kumar have been promoted from SP to DIG.
