In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of India has reassigned several senior IAS officers to pivotal roles across ministries and departments.

Rachna Shah, IAS, previously Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles, has been appointed as Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training.

Arunish Chawla, IAS, who served as Secretary of the Department of Pharmaceuticals in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, will now take charge as Secretary of the Department of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance. Chawla will also hold the additional responsibility of Secretary of the Ministry of Culture.

Vineet Joshi, IAS, who was serving in his cadre, has been designated Secretary of the Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education.

Sanjay Sethi, IAS, also serving in his cadre, has been appointed Secretary of the National Commission for Minorities under the Ministry of Minority Affairs. He succeeds Neelam Shammi Rao, IAS, who has been transferred to the Ministry of Textiles as Secretary, succeeding Rachna Shah.

Amit Agrawal, IAS, currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Unique Identification Authority of India, has been named Secretary of the Department of Pharmaceuticals in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, replacing Arunish Chawla.

Neerja Sekhar, IAS, previously Special Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has been appointed as Director General of the National Productivity Council under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
