In a significant reshuffle, Harinath Mishra (IPS: 1990: KL), Special Director, Intelligence Bureau, has been appointed as Secretary (Security) in the Cabinet Secretariat.

The tenure of Utpal Kumar Singh (Retd IAS: 1986: UK), Secretary General of the Lok Sabha and Lok Sabha Secretariat, has been extended by one year, from December 1, 2024, to November 30, 2025, maintaining his rank and status as Cabinet Secretary.

Shantanu (IAS: 1991: AGMUT), Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor at the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, has been repatriated to his parent cadre at the request of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Dharmendra Sharma (Retd IAS: 1988: AGMUT), Director General of the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management, has had his tenure curtailed upon request from the Election Commission of India.

The Central deputation tenure of Hanumaiah Korukonda (ICAS: 2008), Director at the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance, has been extended for one year, now concluding on November 18, 2025.

In another diplomatic move, V S D L Surendra (YOA: 2008) has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Gabonese Republic.

Kundan Krishnan (IPS: 1994: BH), Additional Director General of CISF, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre, as per cadre request. Similarly, Piyush Purusottamdas Patel (IPS: 1998: GJ), Inspector General of the Border Security Force, has also been repatriated to his parent cadre.

Lastly, Tarun Gauba (IPS: 2001: UP) has been empanelled for the position of Joint Secretary or equivalent level post at the Centre.
