
In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Himachal Pradesh government has transferred eight IAS officers and one Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer.
According to the official notification, Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, previously serving as Director, Industries, has been appointed as Director, Energy. In his place, Yunus, Commissioner of State Taxes and Excise, will take over as the new Director, Industries, while continuing to hold his existing position until further orders.
Harikesh Meena, who held the dual role of Director, Energy and Managing Director of HP Power Corporation Ltd., Shimla, will now focus solely on his responsibilities at HP Power Corporation. Rupali Thakur, formerly Director of Women and Child Development, has been posted as Director of the HP Institute of Public Administration, Shimla.

Manasi Sahay Thakur, previously Director of Tourism and Civil Aviation, has been transferred to the role of Labour Commissioner-cum-Director, Employment in Shimla. Vivek Bhatia, Principal Private Secretary to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, will assume additional responsibilities as Director of Tourism and Civil Aviation, while continuing his duties as Director of Youth Services and Sports. Nivedita Negi, currently on leave, has been transferred as Secretary to the HP Public Service Commission.

Gopal Chand, previously Director of Urban Development, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer-cum-Managing Director of Shimla Smart City Ltd. Meanwhile, IFS officer Neeraj Kumar, Conservator of Forests in Rampur, Shimla, has been named Director of Urban Development, with the Forest Department placing him at the disposal of the Department of Personnel.
