As a part of a key administrative reshuffle, the Central Government has named Mandeep Singh Brar, a 2005-batch IAS officer of the Haryana cadre, as the Home Secretary of Chandigarh Union Territory (UT).
Brar’s appointment to the Chandigarh Administration comes after an extended vacancy for the Home Secretary position. The Haryana government has approved his inter-cadre deputation to the AGMUT cadre (Chandigarh segment) for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
