Chaired by Dr. Hanif Qureshi, IPS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India, the session witnessed active participation from charge point operators, charger manufacturers, and other vital stakeholders. The meeting aimed at charting a course for the growth of the sector, with discussions revolving around policy and market innovations pivotal for the seamless integration of electric trucks nationwide.
Key topics addressed during the deliberations included the deployment of charging stations, infrastructural requirements, current status assessment, and forecasting future power demand. Insights gleaned from this collaborative exchange are expected to play a pivotal role in facilitating a smooth transition to e-trucks in India.

In alignment with India’s ambitious vision of #ViksitBharat, the Ministry Of Heavy Industries, in collaboration with FICCI, has established this EV task force. Its primary objective is to gather crucial insights and recommendations aimed at nurturing the nation’s Electric Vehicle (EV) ecosystem, thereby propelling sustainable transportation initiatives forward.
