In a fresh bureaucratic development, the Union Government issued several significant notifications on appointments and extensions on Monday:
Amit Garg (IPS: 1993: AP), Additional Director, SVP NPA, will continue to hold the additional charge of Director, SVP NPA, for an additional three months beyond May 31, 2024, or until a regular appointment is made.
Pravin Mandloi (SPS: 2004: MP), SP CBI, has had his tenure extended for three years, from September 23, 2024, to September 22, 2027.
Dr. Samir V Kamat, Secretary, Department of Defence Research and Development (DDR&D), and Chairman, Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO), will have his tenure extended for one year from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025.
Ajay Tewari (IAS: 1993: AM), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power, has been repatriated to his parent cadre at the request of the Government of Assam.
Pankaj Agrawal (IAS: 1992: MP), Secretary, Ministry of Power, will take on additional duties as Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, from May 28, 2024, to June 9, 2024, during Neeraj Mittal’s (IAS: 1992: TN) leave period.
