Himachal Pradesh govt

In a fresh bureaucratic development, six officers of the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HAS) have been promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) rank.

The promoted officers, namely Vivek Chandel, Rajeev Kumar, Sunil Sharma, Vinay Kumar, Dalip Kumar Negi, and Dr. Pankaj Lalit, represent a diverse array of talent within the administrative cadre.

Vivek Chandel, a seasoned HAS officer from the 2004 batch, has been serving as the Director-cum-Warden of Fisheries in Bilaspur. His elevation to the IAS cadre marks a pivotal milestone in his career trajectory.

Rajeev Kumar, a distinguished member of the 2003 batch, currently holds the position of Managing Director at HPTDC. His commendable service and seniority within the administrative hierarchy have merited this promotion.

The other promoted officers, Sunil Sharma, Vinay Kumar, Dalip Kumar Negi, and Dr. Pankaj Lalit, each bring their unique expertise and dedication to the fore. Dr. Pankaj Lalit, in particular, hailing from the 2005 batch, signifies the continued influx of fresh talent into the administrative landscape.

However, owing to the enforcement of the model code of conduct for the impending Lok Sabha elections, these officers are expected to retain their current postings for the time being.
