National Power Training Institute and PTC India Collaborate for Joint R&D in Energy Sector

In a significant move towards advancing sustainable energy solutions, the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) and PTC India Ltd. have formalized a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement aims to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) dedicated to Research & Development within the Energy Domain, primarily emphasizing sustainable development goals.


The CoE will serve as a platform for conducting extensive research and development initiatives, with the outcomes aimed at benefiting the power sector. The insights and innovations generated through this collaboration will be disseminated through training and capacity-building programs.

The MoU signing took place on March 28th, 2024, at the Ministry of Power’s office in New Delhi. Dr. Tripta Thakur, Director General of NPTI, and Ms. Koel Singhal, Senior Vice President (HR) of PTC India Ltd., signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, further emphasizing the importance of this collaboration in advancing the nation’s energy agenda.
