Kochi Water Metro

Kochi Water Metro Limited has announced the inauguration of two new routes for its ferry services, marking a significant project expansion. Starting from March 14, South Chittoor, Eloor, Cheranalloor, and North Mulavukad terminals will be included in the ferry routes, increasing the total number of routes to five and terminals to nine.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the terminals virtually, with a scheduled function at the Eloor terminal at 5:30 p.m. on the same day. The new routes, Route 1 from High Court to North Mulavukad and Route 2 from South Chittoor to Cheranalloor, will cater to the transportation needs of islanders, with plans for further expansion to Fort Kochi soon.

Loknath Behera, Managing Director, Kochi Metro Rail Limited, expressed the significance of these new routes, highlighting their importance for the communities residing on the islands. The inauguration ceremony at the Eloor Water Metro Terminal will be attended by dignitaries, including ministers, MPs, MLAs, and other representatives, alongside the island residents.
