Suzlon Group, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, has clinched a substantial deal with Evren for a 642 MW wind project. The agreement entails the installation and commissioning of 214 wind turbine generators (WTGs) equipped with a hybrid lattice tubular tower, each boasting a rated capacity of 3 MW. Set to be located in Andhra Pradesh, this project marks a significant stride in India’s renewable energy landscape.
In addition to the installation phase, Suzlon Group will assume responsibility for the operations and maintenance services post-commissioning. The ambitious project is poised to cater to the energy needs of approximately 528,000 households and is expected to curtail around 2,087,000 tonnes of emissions annually, furthering the nation’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

This latest endeavor follows Suzlon’s recent successes in the renewable energy market. In December 2023, the company secured a 100.8 MW contract from Nordic Energy for its 3 MW WTGs in Karnataka. Similarly, Suzlon Group bagged a contract for a 193.2 MW wind project, which forms a pivotal aspect of KP Group’s wind-solar hybrid and tariff-based initiative. Notably, in September 2023, Suzlon Group secured a contract from Bright Night to establish a 29.4 MW wind capacity at Osmanabad, Maharashtra.
