Tripura: 8 Officers transferred, Dilip Kumar Chakma appointed Commissioner Agartala Municipal Corporation

The Tripura government has transferred eight senior officials, including IAS and TCS officers. Although the transfer order was signed on May 27, it was only uploaded to the state government portal on Thursday afternoon.

The most talked-about decision is the removal of Dr. Vishal Kumar, IAS, from his additional charge as Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), less than a month after assuming the role.

Sources suggest that Dr. Kumar’s exit is likely linked not to routine bureaucratic rotation, but to his uncompromising stand against financial irregularities within the AMC.
