MP Government


In yet another bureaucratic change, the Madhya Government has transferred 5 IAS and 10 IPS officers within the state. Anuj Kumar Rohatgi has been given the additional charge of Collector Sheopur.

The reshuffle entails the following changes:

Lokesh Kumar Jatav (2004 batch) has been appointed Secretary of the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department. He previously held the position of Commissioner of Commercial Tax in Indore, with additional responsibilities as MD of MP Finance Corporation.


Swatantra Kumar Singh (2007 batch) has been designated as the Commissioner of Commercial Tax in Indore, in addition to his role as Managing Director (MD) of MP Finance Corporation. Formerly, he served as Secretary of the Backward Classes & Minorities Welfare Department.

Anurag Chaudhary (2010 batch) has assumed the role of MD of MP Mineral Corporation in Bhopal and serves as the ex-officio Additional Secretary of the Mineral Resources Department. His prior responsibilities included serving as Additional Secretary in the Animal Husbandry & Dairy Development Department and the Department of Fishermen Welfare & Fisheries Development.


Sanjay Kumar (2011 batch) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the MP Secretariat, transitioning from his role as Sheopur Collector.

Rajeev Ranjan Meena (2012 batch) has been reassigned as Deputy Secretary in the MP Secretariat. He previously served as MD of MP Mineral Corporation in Bhopal and held additional responsibilities in the Mineral Resources Department.

Additionally, the Madhya Pradesh Government has issued transfer and posting orders affecting 10 IPS officers. The reorganisation includes the appointment of Superintendents of Police (SP) in five districts and adjustments at the Inspector General (IG) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) levels.

Some of the notable changes in IPS postings include

Rajesh Kumar Hingankar (2006 batch) has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister, transitioning from his role as IGP/DIGP of Rural Range, Indore.

KP Venkateshwar (1995 batch) has been transferred and appointed as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Narcotics at PHQ, Bhopal.

M S Sikarwar (2003 batch) has been reassigned as Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Rewa Range, Rewa, shifting from his previous role as IGP of Rail, Bhopal.

Anshuman Singh (2006 batch) has been appointed as Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Law and Order at Security, PHQ, Bhopal, transitioning from his role as OSD to the Chief Minister.

Arvind Kumar Saxena (2006 batch) has been reassigned as Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Gwalior Zone, Gwalior, previously serving as IGP at PHQ, Bhopal.

Agam Jain (2016 batch) has been appointed as Commandant of the 25th Battalion, SAF, Bhopal, transitioning from his role as Superintendent of Police (SP) in Jhabua.

Ankit Jaiswal (2017 batch) has been reassigned as Superintendent of Police (SP) in Nimach, previously serving as SP in Niwari.

Nishchal Jharia has been appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) in Betul, transitioning from his role as Commandant of the 25th Battalion, SAF, Bhopal.

Manish Khatri has been reassigned as Superintendent of Police (SP) in Chhindwara, previously serving as Assistant IG at PHQ, Bhopal.

Padma Vilochan Shukla has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) in Jhabua, transitioning from his role as DCP (Traffic) in the City Police, Bhopal.
