Texmaco Rail & Engineering Bags Rs 1,374.41 Crore Order from Ministry of Railways for 3,400 Wagons

Kolkata-based Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd announced on Wednesday that it has bagged a substantial order valued at Rs 1,374.41 crore from the Ministry of Railways. The order entails the manufacturing and supply of 3,400 BOXNS wagons, as disclosed in a regulatory filing by the company.


According to Texmaco Rail & Engineering, the Ministry of Railways, through its Railway Board, issued a Letter of Acceptance, formally awarding the order to the company. The fulfillment of the order is slated to occur in three tranches, with the entire project expected to conclude by December 2025.

The company outlined the delivery schedule, revealing that the first tranche comprising 1,133 wagons is set to be dispatched by December 31, 2024. Subsequently, the second tranche, consisting of another 1,133 wagons, is scheduled for delivery by June 30, 2025. The concluding tranche, comprising 1,134 wagons, is expected to be delivered by December 31, 2025.

Texmaco Rail & Engineering emphasised that the total value of this substantial order from the Ministry of Railways is approximately Rs 1,374.41 crore. The successful execution of this order is anticipated to significantly contribute to the company’s growth and reinforce its position in the rail and engineering sector.
