The curtains fell on the highly-anticipated International Trade Show-2023, a five-day extravaganza hosted at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida, with exhibitors celebrating a remarkable achievement of securing over 75,000 Business-to-Business (B2B) export orders. The event also witnessed an astounding turnout of more than 300,000 visitors throughout its duration, culminating on Monday.
This year’s trade show featured an impressive lineup of over 200 stalls, and notably, more than 300 women entrepreneurs actively participated in the event. In a heartening gesture, women entrepreneurs who have established small businesses through the Uttar Pradesh Rural Livelihood Mission were given a prominent platform to showcase their enterprises.
Adding to the international flavor of the event, approximately 500 foreign buyers representing 60 countries were in attendance, underscoring the show’s global appeal. Prominent dignitaries, including Narayan Rane, Union Minister for MSMEs; Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Union MoS for MSMEs; Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, UP Industrial Development and Export Promotion Minister; and Rakesh Sachan, UP’s Minister for MSMEs, graced the occasion on its final day.
The event’s organizers reported a dynamic shift in attendance throughout the five days, with a modest start on the first day, gradually building up momentum. Attendance figures surged, with approximately 48,000 attendees on the second day, 70,000 on the third day, 88,000 on the fourth day, and an astounding 90,000+ attendees on the fifth and concluding day.
One of the event’s standout features was its commitment to promoting local artisans through the ‘One District One Product (ODOP)’ initiative, providing a valuable platform for them to showcase their craftsmanship and products to a diverse and enthusiastic audience.
