Inbasekar K

The Kerala government on Monday named Inbasekar K, as the new District Collector of Kasaragod. He is taking over from Bhandari Swagat Ranveer Chand, who has been reassigned to the Kerala Water Authority as Managing Director.

Mr. Inbasekar K, originally from Tamil Nadu, has worked in several positions in Kozhikode, Port Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram in the past, as well as serving as Registration Inspector-General.

Inbasekar K, a 2012 batch IAS officer, is known for his efficient and effective administration skills. He has previously served in various positions in different parts of the country, including as a Sub-Collector of Aluva, Deputy Secretary in the Department of Rural Development, and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

As the new District Collector of Kasargod, Inbasekar K will be responsible for the overall development of the district, which is known for its scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage. He will oversee various departments, including revenue, public works, education, and health, among others.


In his previous assignments, Inbasekar K has implemented several innovative initiatives to improve the living standards of the people. He is known for his people-centric approach and his ability to bring about positive change in the society. Under his leadership, Kasargod is expected to witness a significant transformation in the coming years.
