Gautam Budh Nagar signs investment proposals worth Rs 5,87,000 crore

The Gautam Budh Nagar Industrial Department said on Friday that Businesses seeking to establish facilities in Noida, Greater Noida, and within the jurisdiction of the Yamuna Expressway industrial development authority (Yeida) signed investment proposals totaling 5,87,000 crore in the past two months.

“We hope that at least 33% of these investment plans come to fruition within the next year or two in order to open up new opportunities and create jobs. We are working to see that all of the ideas are implemented so that the district performs better.” said Anil Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of the District Industries Centre (DIC), Gautam Budh Nagar.

In order to draw investors to the area, the Noida and Greater Noida authorities as well as Yeida were given an order by the Uttar Pradesh government in August 2022 to organise road shows and events. According to officials, the state government has enlisted the help of all ministries and business organisations to entice investors ahead of the global investors summit that will take place in the state on February 12.

Senior officials from all sectors as well as representatives from industry organisations attended a district level conference that Gautam Budh Nagar organised on Friday at the Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra building in Sector 6.
