The Government of India has issued the order to appoint Rashmi Singh as Commissioner, State Taxes for the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Singh is an IAS officer of the 2007-Batch of the AGMUT cadre.
According to the orders, she is slated to take over the newly assigned post on 31 May 2022 on the superannuation of Shawkat Aijaz Bhat.

At present, she is serving as Executive Director, National Mission for Empowerment of Women at the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. Also, she is holding the additional charge of Special Secretary and Director, Social Welfare, Government of Delhi.
