As a major decision to realign the leadership of the Goa Police, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) assigned the charge of Director General of Police (DGP), Goa to Jaspal Singh. The ministerial order dated 29th March 2022, states that Singh will assume the office of DGP, Goa from April 1, 2022.
The 1996-Batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, Jaspal Singh is presently serving as Special Commissioner of Police (CP) for Delhi. He will take over the charge from the incumbent DGP, Goa, I D Shukla, a 1995-Batch IPS officer, who is slated to superannuate on March 31.
