The Government of Karnataka, in a recent order, issued an official notification for the transfer and posting orders of five IAS officers with immediate effect.

1. Vandita Sharma (IAS 1986-Batch) has been given the concurrent charge of Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka due to the retirement of Mahendra Jain on March 31, 2021. Prior to the new posting, Sharma is serving as Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Development Commissioner, Bengaluru.

2. Rajeev Chawla (IAS 1987-Batch) has been transferred and appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Administrative Reforms), Bengaluru. Chawala was serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (e-governance).

   

3. Rakesh Singh (IAS 1989-Batch) has been allotted the concurrent charge of Administrator, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike.

   
   

4. Gaurav Gupta (IAS 1990-Batch) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike (BBMP) with immediate effect. However, he will continue to hold his charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Commerce and Industries.

   

5. G Kumar Naik (IAS 1990-Batch) has been given the charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department. However, Naik will continue to serve his present charge of ACS, Education Department (Higher Education).
