
Vishal V Sharma has been appointed as the next permanent representative of India to the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Paris, on Thursday, October 15.
Sharma has been posted at the rank of Ambassador with the new charge. He is expected to assume the office soon. Vishal Sharma takes the post in succession to Jawed Ashraf, a 1991-Batch IFS officer.
