In a recent order dated August 22, the Government of Himachal Pradesh gave approval for the transfer and posting of 17 IPS officers in the state.

Ashok Tiwari (1993-Batch IPS), Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Crime Investigation Department (CID), Himachal Pradesh (HP) has been posted as ADGP, Law and Order, with the additional charge of ADGP, Armed Police and Training, HP.

N Venugopal (1995-Batch IPS) has been allotted the charge of ADGP, CID, HP. Venugopal, prior to the order, was serving as ADGP, Law and Order with the additional charge of ADGP, Armed Police and Training.

Dinesh Kumar Yadav (1998-Batch IPS) has been posted as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Law and Order, HP.

Sumedha Dwevedi (2005-Batch IPS) has been allotted the charge of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Northern Range Dharmshala.

Santosh Patial (2005-Batch IPS) has been appointed as DIG of Police, Cyber Crime. Partial has also been allotted the additional charge of DIG, Economic offences.

S Arul Kumar (2008-Batch IPS) has been made Superintendent of Police (SP), Chamba district.

Gurdev Sharma (2009-Batch IPS) has been appointed as SP Crime, Shimla district.

Rahul Nath (2010-Batch IPS) has been transferred and posted as SP, SV & ACB, CR, Mandi.

Raman Kumar (2011-Batch IPS) is to assume the charge of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) to the Governor, HP.

Omapati Jamwal (2011-Batch IPS) will take the charge of SP, SV & ACB, SIU, Shimla.

Shalini Agnihotri (2012-Batch IPS) has been given the charge of SP, Mandi district.

Arjit Sen Thakur (2013-Batch IPS) has been allotted the charge of SP, Una district.

Sakshi Sharma (2014-Batch IPS) has been given the charge of Commandant 4th IRBn, Jungleberi district, Hamirpur.

Dr Monika Bhutunguru (2014-Batch IPS) has been appointed as AIG, PHQ, Shimla.

Dr Karthikeyan Gokulachandran (2014-Batch IPS) has been given the charge of SP, Hamirpur, HP.

Manav Verma (2015-Batch IPS) has been appointed as SP, Lahaul and Spiti, HP.
