UdyogbandhuA high-level meeting of Udyog Bandhu was presided by Alok Tandon, Chairman, Infrastructure & Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC) at Yojana Bhavan today.

IIDC reviewed various issues faced by existing industry and issued directions for speedy and time-bound disposal. Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development and Neena Sharma, Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development and Executive Director, Udyog Bandhu were present in the meeting. Around 20 industrialists and representatives of industrial organizations participated through webinar and 17 cases were discussed.

On the issue of Rice Millers Exporters Association, Ghaziabad about not getting exemption from Mandi fee in the process of importing paddy and exporting rice out of state, it was informed that as a result of the notification issued by the state government and agricultural marketing reforms by the Government of India, now, Mandi fee will not be payable in the trade area outside the Mandi yards. The scope of the Mandi committees has been limited to the Mandi complexes only.


In another important decision on the problem of payment of stamp duty on amalgamation of land, it was informed that stamp duty will be payable on the consideration of additional processing fee deposited in cases of amalgamation of plots. If the amalgamation has been done free of cost or without paying procession fee, then a stamp duty of Rs 100 has to be paid in the supplementary deed.

On the issue of industries in Hathras getting high monthly electricity bills due to billing being done on KWH and KWA parameters, IIDC directed the UP Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) to find a technical solution of the issue by making appropriate provision in billing software within a month.


Earlier, addressing the entrepreneurs through a web link, IIDC said that industrial development was one of the top priorities of the State government. Chief Minister has issued clear instructions to resolve issues of industries in a timely manner.

Alok Tandon said that all the departments concerned should take responsibility for their actions and resolve issues of industry according to the policies and rules within a fixed time frame. Principal Secretary assured industrialists on the steps being taken for simplification of procedures to facilitate industries.

Senior officials of the departments of infrastructure & industrial development, revenue, housing, urban development, agri-marketing, energy, UP State Industrial Development Authority, PICUP, etc. attended the meeting in addition to industrialists and industrial associations.
