The notification for recruitment to Assistant Commandant post in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has been released. Aspirants can apply online for the vacant positions at the official website of the SSB ssb.nic.in. The last date for submission of the applications is March 22, 2020.

The upper age limit for interested candidates is 35 years. However, for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and other categories excluding General category are eligible for an age relaxation of five years.

Position details

SSB has released the notification for a total number of 10 posts of Assistant Commandant (Communication). The vacant posts have one post reserved for Economical Weaker Section (EWS), two posts for Other Backward Classes (OBC), one post for Schedule Caste (SC), one for Ex Servicemen, and five posts for General category. However, no reserved posts have been kept for Schedule Tribe (ST) category.

Salary benefits and perks

The selected candidates will get a basic pay under the pay scale Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500 per month (Level-10). Moreover, candidates selected will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and others allowances as admissible from time to time.

Application fee

A fee amount of Rs 400 needs to be submitted as an application fee which is non-refundable. The interested candidates can pay the fee through various different modes like credit card, debit card, or net banking. The candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen and female applicants need not to pay any of examination fee.

Minimum educational qualification requirement

The aspirants need to have a degree in Telecommunication Engineering or Electrical Communication Engineering or Electronics from any recognised University or Institute or Associate Member of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer or Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers or equivalent. Masters of Science (M.Sc.) in Telecommunication or Electronics or Information Technology or Computer science or equivalent subject from a recognised University or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved Institution is also accepted.
