In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the Government of Assam has transferred four IAS officers with immediate effect.

Virendra Mittal, a 2007-Batch IAS officer, currently posted as Commissioner of Transport, Assam; State Project Director, Assam Inland Water Transport Development Society and Managing Director (MD), Assam Industrial Development Corporation Limited (AIDC), has been placed at the disposal of the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries for appointment as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Food Processing Industries (Rameswar Teli) at the level of Deputy Secretary for a period of five years.

Adil Khan, a 2011-Batch IAS officer, currently holding the post of Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Transport, Assam and State Project Director of Assam Inland Water Transport Development Society.

Oinam Sarankumar Singh (2012-Batch), Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia has been transferred and posted as MD of AIDC.

Dr Sadnek Singh, (2014-Batch), Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Metro) has been transferred and posted as deputy commissioner of Bongaigaon.
