J&K Governor approves promotion of 6 IAS officers

The State Administrative Council (SAC) led by Governor Satya Pal Malik has approved the promotion of six J&K cadre IAS officers.

IAS officers Sudhanshu Panday, Pardip Kumar Tripathi, Arun Kumar Mehta, Sandeep Kumar Nayak, Atal Dulloo and Umang Narula, who have been promoted to the apex scale of Indian Administrative Service, belong to 1987, 1988 and 1989 batch.

The promotion of the IAS officers, who will now be designated as financial commissioners instead of principal secretaries, will be effective from February 1, 2019, an official statement said.

Sudhanshu Panday is currently serving as the joint secretary, Department of Commerce, Government of India, while Pardip Kumar Tripathi is the establishment officer/Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India.


Arun Kumar Mehta is the principal secretary, Finance Department; Sandeep Kumar Nayak is the managing director, National Cooperative Development Corporation of India; Atal Dulloo is the principal secretary Health and Medical Education Department; and Umang Narula is the principal secretary to the J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik.
