The Uttar Pradesh Government has announced a 30-days bonus to its 14.02 lakh employees on the occasion of Diwali.

This will lead to a burden of additional Rs 967.63 crore on the State Government.

The Yogi Adityanath led Government has also announced hike in Dearness Allowance with effect from July 1, 2018. This will also lead to another burden of Rs. 789.62 crore for the remaining eight months of the financial year, a government spokesman said.

The bonus will also apply to aided educational and technical institutes, local bodies and daily wagers. 75 percent of the bonus will be deposited to the PF account of the staff.
