Bank of Baroda inks deal with IBM and Accenture for digital expertise

Bank of Baroda, India’s second largest public sector bank has announced a collaboration with world leading technology players, IBM and Accenture to empower a state-of-the-art IT Center of Excellence (ITCoE) and Analytics Center of Excellence (ACoE), respectively. The tie-up was announced at an event, recently held in Mumbai.

As a part of digital roadmap, these two centers of excellence are aimed at enhancing the quality of business growth, portfolio diversification and fee income using digitization.

ACoE will help to take new use-cases to market at speed to deliver a differentiated, world-class customer experience.

This collaboration also shows the Bank’s support for the Government’s initiatives, like ‘digital India’ and meet ‘Ease of Banking’ directive

CEO and Managing Director at Bank of Baroda PS Jayakumar said, “the bank was also working on helping farmers purchase seeds and fertilizers via an application process where the bank will interact digitally with customers.
