Odisha Skills 2018The State Government signed five Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with five leading organisations on the sidelines of Odisha Skills.

Odisha Skills is the state-level chapter of the India Skills competition organised by the National Skill development Corporation (NSDC) and the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship in collaboration with the Government of Odisha.

The MoU was signed between the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Centre for Innovate and Entrepreneurship (CIE) and the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) and robotics.


The Centre for Development of Advance Computing (C-DAC) signed an MoU with BPUT in the field of super computation and high-end research, C-DAC and Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) in the field of super computation and its use for skill development and research.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, “These MoUs will strengthen our commitment for developing skills in technology. Technical education and vocational training has been at the forefront of our approach for economic planning and sustainable growth.”


The opening ceremony of Odisha Skills 2018 was held in Cuttack on April 28 followed by the second day of the competition in Bhubaneswar. The event has witnessed participation of nearly 7,000 persons from across the state.
