Durga Shanker Mishra, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) on Frida recently inspected the Lucknow Metro stations in view of the start of commercial run of Metro services for the public.
He was accompanied by Lucknow Metro’s Managing Director Kumar Keshav.
Mishra first visited the Transport Nagar Metro station and oversaw the concourse, platform, Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) entry/exit gate, lift, escalator, Ticket Operating Machine (TOM), customer care, signage, facilities for the differently-abled and other passenger related focus areas in view of the start of commercial-run of metro services for the public.
Keshav, the Lucknow Metro’s Managing Director, briefed him about the role and responsibilities of the Station Controllers cum Train Operators (SCs/TOs) who would manage the stations and run the Metro trains.
He explained the senior urban development ministry official how the Customer Relation Assistants (CRAs) will help out Metro commuters during their journey in the Metro system.
Later, Mishra also visited the Krishna Nagar Metro station and appreciated the art work that has been done at the station.
