The government has designated 13 IAS officers belonging to 1983 batch as Special Secretaries along with posting five others in a different capacity, in their respective ministries and departments. The details of the people are given below:

• Arun Kumar, (IAS:1983) of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, working as a Additional Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, has been appointed as Special Secretary.

• Jagdish Prasad Meena (lAS:1983), of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, working as a Additional Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, has been designated as a Special Secretary.

• Jatinder Bir Singh (lAS:1983), of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, working as a Chairman & MD, Punjab & Sind Bank, Ministry of Finance, will serve in the rank and pay of a Secretary.

• Preeti Sudan (lAS:1983), of Andhra Pradesh cadre, working as a Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development, has been designated as a Special Secretary.

• Asha Ram Sihag (lAS:1983), of Himachal Pradesh Cadre, working as a Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, will serve in the rank and pay of a Secretary.

• Yudhvir Singh Malik (lAS:1983), of Haryana cadre, working as a Additional Secretary, NITI Ayog, has been designated as a Special Secretary.

• P.Krishnan (lAS:1983), of Karnataka cadre, working as a Additional Secretary, Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development, has been appointed as a Special Secretary.

• Sanjeevanee Kutty (lAS:1983), of Maharashtra cadre, working as a Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Home Affairs, has been posted as a Special Secretary.

• Injeti Srinivas (lAS:1983), of Odisha cadre, working as a Director General, Sports Authority of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, will now serve in the rank and pay of a Secretary.

• Seema Bahuguna (lAS:1983), of Rajasthan cadre, working as a Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development, has been appointed as a Special Secretary.

• Bharati S Sihag (lAS: 1983), of Himachal Pradesh cadre, working as a Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Steel, will work as a Special Secretary.

• Dinesh Sharma (lAS:1983), of Kerala cadre, working as a Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, has been as a Special Secretary.

• Sridharan (lAS: 1983), of Karnataka cadre, working as a Additional Secretary, Ministry of Mines, will work as a Special Secretary.

• Rajani Ranjan Rashmi, (lAS:1983), of Manipur cadre, working as a Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, has been designated as a Special Secretary.

• Alka Panda (lAS:1983), of Odisha cadre, working as a Director General, BIS, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, will serve in the rank and pay of a Secretary (Equivalent).

• Anjali Prasad (lAS:1983), of Uttarakhand cadre, working as a Ambassador, World Trade Organisation, will serve in the rank and pay of a Secretary (Equivalent).

• Bhagwati Prasad Pandey (lAS:1983), of Uttarakhand cadre, working as a Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power, has been appointed as a Special Secretary.
